FAQS.
You've got questions. We've got answers.
Working with us
What do you do?
We design and build exhibition stands, brand activations, retail and interior spaces, and touring experiences. All crafted in-house, from first sketch to install. We also work as a build partner behind agencies and stand builders who need extra design or workshop capacity. If it needs designing and making, we're built for it.
Do you work across different sectors?
Yes. We work across sectors, show types and formats, from first-time exhibitors to brands running a full events calendar, and agencies who need a workshop they can trust.
What sort of support do I get throughout my project?
One point of contact, from brief to build to install to debrief. Backed by our in-house design, joinery and project management teams.
Do you manage delivery, installation and breakdown?
Yes. We handle logistics, on-site install and breakdown as standard, at venues across the UK and internationally.
Can I see examples of your previous work?
Yes, you can browse our portfolio, our case studies, or get in touch and we'll share past projects relevant to your sector and show.
Exhibitions
What types of exhibition stand do you design and build?
Three main types, depending on what you need. LITE is our package for shell scheme and modular builds, a branded, professional starting point from £2,995. READY is our package for space only, a hybrid custom build with a reusable backbone that gets cheaper every time you show, from £8,995. CUSTOM is a full bespoke stand built from scratch around your objectives, no limits, priced to your brief. Not sure which fits? We'll work it out together.
How much does an exhibition stand cost?
It depends on size, materials and how bespoke you want to go, but here's a starting point: our LITE package for shell scheme and modular builds starts from £2,995, our READY package for space only starts from £8,995. For anything beyond that we design and build CUSTOM stands from scratch, priced to your brief with no upper limit on what's possible. Tell us your show and budget, and we'll give you a clear, honest quote.
What size exhibition stand can you work with?
All sizes. From compact 10m² stands to large-scale 100m² builds, double-decker spaces and beyond. Whatever your floor plan, we make every square metre work for your brand.
How long does an exhibition stand take to build?
It depends on the size and complexity of the build, a shell scheme refresh can turn around in weeks, a full CUSTOM stand needs longer for design, joinery and finishing. The earlier you come to us, the more options you've got. If your show's already on the horizon, tell us the date and we'll work out what's realistic.
Do you sell or hire out your exhibition stands?
We hire, not sell, and run a sustainable recirculation system that reuses structural elements across projects. Any custom elements we create for your stand are yours to keep, or we'll store them ready for next time. That also means we can refresh your design if you want a different configuration at a future show.
Do you provide 3D visuals of my exhibition stand?
Yes. Every stand we design comes with full 3D visuals before we build anything, included as standard rather than an add-on. You'll see exactly what you're getting and can ask for changes while it's still just a drawing, with two rounds of amends built in as standard.
Can you add interactive elements or games to my stand?
Yes. Interactive features can all be built into your stand and backed by footfall counters and visitor data, so you've got proof of what actually drew people in, not just a feature that looked good on the day.
Can my exhibition stand be reused at future shows?
Yes. Reuse is built into how we think from day one, better for your budget and better for the planet. Our stands are hire-based, so structural components, walling, flooring and furniture come from our own inventory and get reused across events. That keeps costs down and waste to a minimum. We'll adapt your stand to fit your next space while keeping your brand looking consistent every time.
Do you track how my stand performs?
Yes. We can integrate sensors into your stand allowing for heat mapping and visitor behaviour tracking, so you see what actually worked, not just what looked good. It all feeds into maximising your ROI for the next show, not just reporting on the last one. We sit down, debrief, and go through the results together afterwards. Your win is our win, and we want your next show to be even better.
Do you work with event organisers as a build partner?
Yes. We design and build organiser environments, sales lounges, networking zones, stages, alongside our exhibitor work. We can also act as your recommended stand partner, offering packages and custom design to your exhibitors, built to boost your event and your rebook rate.
Do you only work in exhibitions?
No. Exhibitions are a big part of what we do, but the same in-house team also builds brand activations, retail and interior spaces, and full-scale event experiences. Anything physical that carries your brand and needs to get noticed.
Design & build
Do you help with design?
Yes. Design is where every project starts. Our in-house team builds around your brand and your objectives, making sure your artwork and project look their best.
Do you handle artwork and graphics?
Yes. We manage artwork and graphics production as part of the build, so everything's consistent and ready for install.
Do you design and build in-house?
Yes. One team, joiners, designers and project managers, all under one roof. The people who design your stand are the same people who build it, from first concept to final dismantle.
How many amendments do I get?
We hope to hit the brief first time, but every design comes with two rounds of amends built into the standard price if we don't. Once you're happy with the direction, we lock the 3D design in and move into production.
What materials do you use?
Whatever suits the build and the brief. We use FSC and PEFC-certified timber wherever we can, and make smarter material choices at every stage, from PVC-free fabric graphics to natural materials such as OFC, cork, and bamboo.
Will you deal with the venue on my behalf?
Yes. We manage venue requirements, technical specifications and compliance for you, submissions, sign-off and everything in between, so you're not the one chasing paperwork with organisers directly.
Will my stand meet health and safety standards?
Yes. Health and safety is handled as standard on every project, RAMS documentation and CDM duties included, alongside structural safety certification and rigging approvals wherever a design needs them.
Budgets & pricing
What's included in your quote?
Design, build, delivery, on-site installation and breakdown, plus project management throughout, all in one number rather than itemised extras added on afterwards. What you're quoted is what you pay, unless the brief changes along the way.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. You get a clear quote upfront, margin protected. No surprises later.
Do you work to specific budgets?
Yes. Tell us your budget and we'll tell you what's possible.
Planning & logistics
How far in advance should I plan with you?
The earlier the better, especially for bespoke builds, but we can move fast when something's on the horizon. Get in touch as soon as you have a date and we'll talk timeline.
Do you work at all exhibition venues?
We build across the UK, at venues like ExCeL London, the NEC and Manchester Central, and internationally, including Berlin and Paris.
Can you manage a touring or roadshow build?
Yes. We design and manage builds that travel across multiple venues or shows.
Can you handle international projects?
Yes. We manage logistics, installation and on-site delivery for international shows, same as UK ones.
What happens if something goes wrong on site?
Our project management team is on-site to handle it. We build everything in-house, so we know your stand inside out and can fix things fast.
Brand activations, retail & experiences
What kind of brand activations do you build?
Pop-ups, launch events, experiential campaigns and branded spaces built to get people talking. Same craft, same attention as our exhibition work.
Can you design and build retail or interior spaces?
Yes. We design and build branded retail and interior environments in-house, from concept through to fit-out.
Do you design and build for full-scale events?
Yes. Whether you're organising a corporate conference, full-scale event or private party, we take care of it.
Can you help with brand storytelling as part of a campaign?
Yes. We build every project around the story your brand is telling, whether that's a single show stand or a wider campaign across several touchpoints.
Can you manage a touring activation or campaign across multiple locations?
Yes. We design and manage builds that travel across multiple venues, retail sites or events.
How much does a brand activation, retail space or event build cost?
It depends on scope, scale and how bespoke it needs to be. Tell us what you're planning and we'll give you a clear, honest quote rather than a ballpark that doesn't hold up.
Working with event organisers
Can you act as the recommended stand supplier for our exhibitors?
Yes, this is how a lot of our organiser partnerships work. We're set up as your recommended contractor, so exhibitors have a proper stand option to book without you needing to source or manage a builder yourself.
Can you handle enquiries from our exhibitors directly?
Yes. Once you point exhibitors our way, we take it from there, design, quote, build and install, with a dedicated project manager on each one. Your team never needs to get pulled into the details.
Do you work across the whole show floor, including feature areas and networking zones, or just individual stands?
Both. We build exhibitor stands, but we also take on feature areas, networking zones, sponsor activations and entrance builds, all under one project manager so you're not coordinating several different contractors for different parts of the floor.
What exhibition venues do you work in?
All the major UK venues, including ExCeL London, the NEC Birmingham, Manchester Central and SEC Glasgow, plus events across Europe and beyond. We know the loading requirements and build schedules at each one, which keeps approvals fast and avoids surprises on site.
How far in advance do you need to be briefed?
As soon as your show dates and floor plan are confirmed. Earlier briefing gives us more room for design sign-off, fabrication and any venue-specific approvals, and it protects your slot in our production schedule.
Do you provide sustainability documentation for our event reporting?
Yes. We're ESSA members with ESSA Sustainability Accreditation, and we build with FSC- and PEFC-certified timber wherever we can. If your event has sustainability commitments to report against, we can back them up with evidence.
How do you help exhibitors decide whether to rebook?
We give them a reason to. Every stand goes through a debrief after the show, and where heat mapping or other analytics were built in, we review that data together so they can see what worked. That evidence, not just a good-looking stand, is what brings most of them back, 84% rebook with us.
Working with agencies & build partners
Do you work with agencies and stand builders as a build partner?
Yes. We work behind agencies, stand builders and event teams who need in-house craft and capacity without the workshop overhead. A single overflow project or an ongoing partnership, either works.
Will you approach my client directly?
No. Your client stays your client. We never approach clients directly, your designs and margins stay yours, and we'll sign NDAs and non-competes as standard.
Can you work white-label, under our brand?
Yes. Fully white-label, badged under your name with no reference to Rocket-X, or co-branded if you'd rather share the credit. Your call.
What if we've just won more work than we can build in-house?
That's exactly the kind of overflow we help with. We'll flex with you for a single show or a full season, taking on the craft and capacity you don't have in-house right now.
Can you build to our designs without getting involved in the concept?
Yes. Our specialist build service takes your drawings and delivers the joinery, fabrication and finish. No creative input unless you want it.
Sustainability
We're accredited to Tier 3 of the ESSA Sustainability Standard and working towards net zero by 2050. Our hire model reuses structural elements across shows, and we use FSC and PEFC certified timber and PVC-free fabric graphics wherever we can.
Yes. We're accredited to Tier 3 of the ESSA Sustainability Standard, the industry benchmark for event suppliers.
We're working towards net zero by 2050, cutting carbon across sourcing, production and logistics first and offsetting only what's genuinely unavoidable.
Not necessarily. Reused components and modular builds cut material costs over time, so a sustainable exhibition stand can work out cheaper across multiple shows than a disposable one-off build.
Yes. Reuse is about the frame and structure underneath, not the finish. The visible parts of your stand such as graphics, branding, and layout are built around your brief every time.
Through the reduce, reuse, recycle approach at every stage: digital planning to cut paper waste, a recirculating component system, and responsible disposal partnerships for anything genuinely at end of life.
UK-based suppliers as standard. Shorter supply chains mean lower emissions and faster turnaround.
Yes. We plant trees in Tanzania through our reforestation partner.
Let's build something worth remembering.
Tell us about your next show. We’ll show you what being noticed looks like.
