At Rocket-X, we’re committed to continuously improving our sustainability performance. We identify and act on opportunities to reduce our environmental impact across every part of the business. Our mission is to integrate sustainability into every aspect of our operations, while delivering style, substance and sustainability.
Sustainability is defined as meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Being a sustainable business means actively working to reduce our environmental impact while promoting social responsibility and ethical practices.
As a leader in the exhibition and event industry, we recognise our responsibility to minimise our ecological footprint and enhance the communities we serve. Sustainability is central to our overall strategy, aligning with our core values and driving long-term success. By adopting sustainable practices, we aim to contribute positively to the environment, support local communities, and set a benchmark for excellence in our industry.
Responsibilities
To ensure the effective implementation and management of this policy we have appointed Michelle Willcock as the Sustainability Manager.
In addition, a dedicated Sustainability committee will assist in the management and execution of sustainability. All staff members are encouraged to get involved and contribute ideas to furthering our sustainability goals.
Goals & Commitments
- Comply with Relevant Legislation: Adhere to all applicable environmental laws and regulations.
- Reduce Resource Use: Conserve energy and water through efficient practices, such as using low-flow fixtures and energy efficient lighting.
- Minimise Waste: Reduce waste by opting for digital materials and implementing recycling and re-use programmes for paper, plastics and metals.
- Sustainable Transport: Encourage eco-friendly transportation options, including carpooling, the use of electric vehicles and cycling or walking to work.
- Employee Awareness and Training: Provide regular training to staff on sustainability practices and policies to foster a culture of environmental responsibility. Reinforce the waste hierarchy of REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE by means of notices in all departments.
- Community Support and Donations: Engage with and support local communities through donations, volunteer efforts and partnerships with local organisations.
- Rocket-X policy aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals 3, 4, 5, 8,9,10,12 and 13, as applicable to a company of our size.
Availability
This policy is accessible to all employees, customers, suppliers and the public. It is available on our website, displayed in our reception area, and included in marketing materials and tenders.
This policy will be reviewed annually.
