Center Parcs

The brief

Bring the forest to London.

The brief wasn’t to build a bigger stand or a louder one. It was to capture the quiet of a Center Parcs forest location and set it down in the middle of The Meetings Show. Relaxation, connection, sustainability, that’s the brand’s ethos, and it had to survive contact with a corporate exhibition hall. No hard sell. Just a space honest enough to let the story tell itself.

The brand

A different kind of venue for a different kind of meeting.

Center Parcs is known for its forest villages, but at The Meetings Show they were pitching something more specific: their venues as genuinely different places to hold a conference or a corporate event. Not a hotel with trees nearby. An actual forest, with everything that brings.

The build

Quiet, but unmistakably Center Parcs.

We built the stand around one idea: recreate the feeling of arriving at a Center Parcs village, not just the look of one. Natural textures, organic materials, a layout designed to slow people down rather than funnel them through. The brand wasn’t applied on top of the design, it was built into it, so the stand stayed quiet without ever losing who it belonged to.

The structure was built in FSC and PEFC certified timber and designed to be reconfigured, not replaced. We reused and reworked it for both years of The Meetings Show, proof that sustainable doesn’t have to mean disposable.

Every choice, from the colour palette to how the space flowed, was there to make one thing obvious the moment someone walked in: this isn’t a conventional stand, and Center Parcs isn’t a conventional venue. It didn’t compete for attention. It just held it.

The details

The stand had one job, make a woodland feel real without the waste.

  • A layout built to invite people in, not funnel them through
  • A natural, organic material palette in place of the usual corporate stand finishes
  • No screens, no noise, no gimmicks competing for attention
  • Every design decision checked against one question: does this feel calm, or does it feel like a show floor?

The results

A stand people kept talking about after they'd left.

Center Parcs didn’t come to The Meetings Show chasing a lead count. They came to be remembered, and that’s what happened: visitors stayed longer, conversations felt unhurried, and people were still talking about the stand well after the show closed. No hard numbers to report here, the win was qualitative, and it was exactly the win they set out for.

Why it worked

Calm is memorable precisely because nobody else is doing it.

In a hall built for noise, quiet stands out. The stand didn’t try to out-shout the competition, it opted out of the competition entirely, and that’s what made people stop.

“My favourite thing about working with the team at Rocket-X is their commitment to understanding our business and the ability to design and create a stand that truly reflects what we do. This year our stand really delivered on the brief, it truly brought a piece of our unique venues in the forest to London.”

That’s the part we’re proud of. Not the finish, not the materials, the fact that a Center Parcs person stood on that stand and recognised their own brand in it.
