What exhibitors need to know.

International Confex is the UK’s leading event industry exhibition, held every spring at ExCeL London. More than 5,500 event professionals attend over two days, meeting 300+ venues, suppliers and tech providers, with 150+ speakers across nine theatres. The organiser puts the combined spending power in the room at £4.5 billion, and 68% of visitors manage event budgets of £200,000 or more.

Entry is free, and the audience is the people who plan and buy events, including corporate event teams, agencies, associations, not-for-profits and global brands. They come to source venues, find suppliers, see new event tech and gather ideas for the year ahead. In 2026 they made more than 48,000 connections through the show app.

Your stand here is being judged by people who design experiences for a living. Both shell scheme and space only plots are available, from small presences to large feature builds. Planning a space only stand? Working with exhibition stand contractors who know ExCeL stops being optional.

Why this sector is different

Event planners build experiences for a living. They'll judge yours.

Every visitor at Confex knows what a good event space looks and feels like, because creating one is their job. They notice the lighting, the flow, the finish and the cable runs. A stand that feels generic or tired tells them your venue, service or tech will be too.

A stand that lets them experience what you offer, not just read about it. For venues and destinations, that means a real sense of place. For suppliers and tech, it means a working demo. Somewhere to sit and talk budgets and dates. And ideas they can take back and pitch to their own clients or board.

Why Rocket-X

Built for the most critical audience in the industry.

We design and build exhibition stands for International Confex, from bespoke stand design to shell scheme and space only packages. We’ve built and exhibited at International Confex before, and we know what this floor needs. Two days in front of event planners, agencies and brand teams who build experiences themselves and spot a shortcut instantly. What they see on your stand is how they’ll judge your venue, your service or your tech.

So we build the way we’d build their events. As a brand activation and event build partner, we create stands that let visitors experience what you offer, whether that’s a room set that shows off your venue, a hospitality bar serving what your chefs would, LED walls and VR tours for destinations, or a live tech demo. Joinery, lighting and finishes are made to be looked at closely. Lounges and meeting pods give planners somewhere to talk budgets, with charging built in, and every detail is designed to survive the most critical eye. Then we review what worked, so next year’s stand does even better.

We don’t build stands. We build the story your brand tells on the show floor. Every material, layout and lighting choice serves the narrative.

Heat mapping and visitor tracking available on request, plus a post-show review on every project. We prove what worked, not just what looked good.

LITE, READY and CUSTOM. Three clear ways to exhibit, three clear price points. You always know exactly what you’re getting, before you commit.

Your win is our win. We review the results together, and we’re genuinely invested in your next show being even better than the last.

Three ways to work with us

Pick your launch pad.

The venue

Exhibiting at ExCeL London.

ExCeL runs a tight operation, and most of what your stand needs, from power and water to internet and hanging signs, is ordered through the venue in advance. We handle the logistics and the orders. Here’s what’s worth knowing for your stand and your team.

Breakdown

TBC
Your stand gets judged like an event.

Visitors here plan events for a living, and they notice finishes, lighting and flow. Every detail has to hold up to a close look.

Order a dedicated connection.

ExCeL supplies internet in-house. For live event tech demos, a wired line is essential, not an extra. We order it early and test it before doors open.

Hanging signs help you be found.

A sign above your stand is the easiest way to be spotted across a busy hall. ExCeL’s own team rigs it and it needs ordering early, so we can design it in from the start.

Order services early.

Power, water, internet and rigging all come through ExCeL, and late orders usually cost more. We spec everything with your stand and order it well before the deadlines.

Build in storage.

Literature, giveaways and your team’s bags need somewhere to go. We can build storage into the stand, so the front stays open and uncluttered all day.

Come by train, not car.

Parking is paid once the show opens. Custom House (Elizabeth line and DLR) is right by the entrance, so it’s the easiest way in for your team.

We handle the logistics: plans, approvals, service orders, build & breakdown. You turn up to a finished stand & leave once the show's over.

Before the show

How to make an impact at International Confex.

Two days, 300+ exhibitors and 5,500 event professionals who’ve seen every trick in the book. Here’s how to make the most of it, from first plan to next year’s booking.

01.

Remember who's judging.

This audience notices finish, lighting and cable management. The details that most visitors miss are exactly what event planners look at first.

02.

Sell the experience, not the brochure.

Venues and destinations should bring the space to life with materials, sound, visuals and hospitality. Tech should run live. Let them feel it before they book it.

03.

Book meetings with budget holders.

68% of visitors manage budgets of £200k+. Use the show app to fill your diary before the doors open.

04.

Give them something to take back.

Planners need ideas they can pitch to their own clients or board. Case studies, formats and inspiration earn you a place in their next proposal.

05.

Follow up before the RFPs go out.

Spring is when planners source venues and suppliers for the year ahead. Chase every lead within the week, while you’re still front of mind.

06.

Rebook before you leave.

Many shows sell next year’s space before this one ends. Rebook, tell us your plot, and we can start on next year’s stand straight away. When we debrief the show, we’ll know what worked this time, so we can make your next stand work harder and give you better return on investment.

The smart way to exhibit

It gets smarter every time you come back.

We build exhibitions to work harder over time. By reusing and refining crafted elements across multiple shows, we reduce waste, retain what works, and make every next build more efficient than the last. Show one makes an impact. Show two builds on it. That’s how exhibiting should work.

Built responsibly

Good for your brand. Good for the PlANeT.

We build with reuse in mind from the start. That means fewer one-use builds, less waste, and exhibition stands designed to work harder over time. We use FSC- and PEFC-certified timber wherever possible and make smarter material choices at every stage. Because sustainability should be built in, not added on.

As soon as you've got your space booked. For an early-March show, that means briefing us by early December at the latest. 12 to 16 weeks gives time for design, review, revisions and production without rushing any stage. You don't need a finished brief to start. Your plot size, rough goals and a budget range are enough for us to tell you what's achievable.
You don't need a finished brief. You need your stand size or plot reference, a rough sense of your goals and a budget range. From those things, we can tell you what's achievable.
