What exhibitors need to know.

eCommerce Expo is the UK’s leading event for online retail and digital commerce, held every September at ExCeL London. It runs alongside Technology for Marketing and Parcel & Post Expo, bringing more than 10,000 senior B2B and B2C eCommerce professionals together with 200+ solution providers and agencies, and 200+ hours of CPD-accredited content across ten theatres.

Registration is free, and the audience is the people who run online sales, including eCommerce directors, digital and marketing leads, and CX, payments and operations teams from brands and retailers of every size. They come to find platforms, tools and partners that will lift conversion, cut costs and grow revenue.

Your stand has to show what your technology actually delivers, not just what it’s called. Both shell scheme and space only plots are available, from small presences to large feature builds. Planning a space only stand? Working with exhibition stand contractors who know ExCeL stops being optional.

Why this sector is different

eCommerce teams buy on results, not features.

The people at eCommerce Expo live by their numbers, from conversion rate and basket value to returns and customer lifetime value. They’ve seen hundreds of platforms promising to transform all of it, and they want to know one thing fast. What will this do for our results, and how hard is it to plug in?

A clear promise readable from the aisle, ideally with a number in it. A live demo using a real store, not a slide deck. Proof from brands they recognise. And somewhere to sit down and talk integration properly.

Why Rocket-X

Built to make software worth stopping for.

We design and build exhibition stands for eCommerce Expo, from bespoke stand design to shell scheme and space only packages. We’ve built at eCommerce Expo before, and we know what this floor needs. Two days, 200+ platforms and agencies, and senior eCommerce teams who skim a hall of near-identical tech stands looking for the one that can move their numbers. If your stand looks like everyone else’s, your product gets judged the same way.

So we build to stand out and demo well. Your headline promise is readable from the aisle, and demo pods and big-screen live demos sit at eye level where visitors can try the product. On-stand presentation space hosts short timetabled sessions, and meeting areas are ready for integration conversations. Wired connectivity is ordered through ExCeL well in advance. We also bring a retailer’s eye from our retail interiors work, so your stand speaks the language of the people you’re selling to. Then we review what worked, so next September’s stand does even better.

We don’t build stands. We build the story your brand tells on the show floor. Every material, layout and lighting choice serves the narrative.

Heat mapping and visitor tracking available on request, plus a post-show review on every project. We prove what worked, not just what looked good.

LITE, READY and CUSTOM. Three clear ways to exhibit, three clear price points. You always know exactly what you’re getting, before you commit.

Your win is our win. We review the results together, and we’re genuinely invested in your next show being even better than the last.

Our work

Exhibition stands for eCommerce & retail tech audiences.

How we work

From brief to build to debrief.

Designed, made and installed by one in-house team in Lincolnshire. You’ll see 3D visuals before anything is built, and one project manager runs your stand from brief to debrief.

Three ways to work with us

Pick your launch pad.

The venue

Exhibiting at ExCeL London.

ExCeL runs a tight operation, and most of what your stand needs, from power and water to internet and hanging signs, is ordered through the venue in advance. We handle the logistics and the orders. Here’s what’s worth knowing for your stand and your team.

Breakdown

Traffic follows the theatres.

Visitors move between conference sessions in waves. Staff up for the breaks and time your on-stand demos to match.

Order a dedicated connection.

ExCeL supplies internet in-house. For live software demos, a wired line is essential, not an extra. We order it early and test it before doors open.

Hanging signs help you be found.

A sign above your stand is the easiest way to be spotted across a busy hall. ExCeL’s own team rigs it and it needs ordering early, so we can design it in from the start.

Order services early.

Power, water, internet and rigging all come through ExCeL, and late orders usually cost more. We spec everything with your stand and order it well before the deadlines.

Build in storage.

Literature, giveaways and your team’s bags need somewhere to go. We can build storage into the stand, so the front stays open and uncluttered all day.

Come by train, not car.

Parking is paid once the show opens. Custom House (Elizabeth line & DLR) is right by the entrance, so it’s the easiest way in for your team.

We handle the logistics: plans, approvals, service orders, build & breakdown. You turn up to a finished stand & leave once the show's over.

Before the show

How to make an impact at eCommerce Expo.

Two days, 200+ platforms and agencies, and visitors who’ve seen most of them before. Here’s how to make the most of it, from first plan to next year’s booking.

01.

Lead with the result.

Conversion uplift, bigger baskets, fewer returns. Put the outcome on the back wall, ideally with a number and a brand name next to it.

02.

Demo it live.

Show the product working on a real store, not a slide deck. Demo pods at eye level let visitors try it without waiting for a presenter.

03.

Say what you do in five words.

In a hall full of logos and screens, visitors decide in seconds. If they can’t tell what you do from the aisle, they won’t stop to ask.

04.

Run short on-stand sessions.

Fifteen-minute talks or demos on a timetable give people a reason to come back. Share the schedule before the show and at the front of the stand.

05.

Plan around peak.

Many retailers freeze changes before Black Friday and Christmas. Follow up within the week, and aim for projects that start in the new year.

06.

Rebook before you leave.

Many shows sell next year’s space before this one ends. Rebook, tell us your plot, and we can start on next year’s stand straight away. When we debrief the show, we’ll know what worked this time, so we can make your next stand work harder and give you better return on investment.

The smart way to exhibit

It gets smarter every time you come back.

We build exhibitions to work harder over time. By reusing and refining crafted elements across multiple shows, we reduce waste, retain what works, and make every next build more efficient than the last. Show one makes an impact. Show two builds on it. That’s how exhibiting should work.

Built responsibly

Good for your brand. Good for the PlANeT.

We build with reuse in mind from the start. That means fewer one-use builds, less waste, and exhibition stands designed to work harder over time. We use FSC- and PEFC-certified timber wherever possible and make smarter material choices at every stage. Because sustainability should be built in, not added on.

FAQS

Costs vary by size, specification and complexity. CUSTOM bespoke stand design and build is priced to your brief. Tell us what you want to achieve and we’ll show you what’s possible. If you’d rather start from a package, our READY space only stands start from £8,995 and come in different configurations, so you can choose the one that suits your ambition. Our LITE shell scheme stand package starts at £2,995. Venue services like power, internet and rigging are ordered through the venue or organiser, and we include them clearly in your itemised quote, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.
Yes. Every stand Rocket-X builds for eCommerce Expo is hired, from LITE and READY packages to CUSTOM builds. The structure is hired and reused on other projects, which keeps your costs down and cuts waste. Anything crafted specifically for your stand is yours to keep, or we can store it and bring it back for your next show.
Yes. Most exhibitors sell software, so stands can easily look the same. The stands that work lead with a clear result, show the product running live on a real store, and give visitors space for timetabled sessions and integration conversations.
Yes. We can design demo pods and big-screen demo areas at eye level, on-stand presentation spaces with seating and AV, and meeting areas, and we order the wired connectivity your demos need through ExCeL well in advance.
As soon as you've got your space booked. For a late-September show, that means briefing us by the end of June at the latest. 12 to 16 weeks gives time for design, review, revisions and production without rushing any stage. You don't need a finished brief to start. Your plot size, rough goals and a budget range are enough for us to tell you what's achievable.
You don't need a finished brief. You need your stand size or plot reference, a rough sense of your goals and a budget range. From those things, we can tell you what's achievable.
