What exhibitors need to know.

Farnborough International Airshow is one of the world’s biggest aerospace and defence events, held every two years in July at the Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre in Hampshire. The 2026 show drew 141,580 trade and public visitors from 136 countries, 41% more than the previous edition, and saw $84.7 billion in deals announced, including 353 firm aircraft orders and 904 firm engine orders.

The first four days are trade only, for aerospace and defence professionals, with the public welcomed on the Friday. Exhibitors show in five halls, host in chalets along the flightline, and take outdoor plots and static displays for aircraft and large equipment. The audience ranges from airline and defence chiefs and government delegations to engineers, procurement teams and the supply chain SMEs behind the world’s biggest programmes.

Your presence sits alongside the biggest names in aerospace, in front of people who sign the biggest contracts. Shell scheme, space only, chalets and outdoor sites are all available, from small presences to large feature builds. Planning a space only stand, chalet or outdoor feature? Working with contractors who understand a venue this complex stops being optional.

Why this sector is different

At Farnborough, the deals are measured in billions.

Aerospace and defence buyers work on programmes that run for decades and contracts worth millions, sometimes billions. They’re cautious, confidential and relationship-driven. Many of the most important conversations of the week happen behind closed doors, between people who flew in specifically to have them.

A presence that signals scale and credibility, sitting comfortably next to the prime contractors. Somewhere private to talk, because not every conversation can happen in an open aisle. Hospitality that matches the level of the guests. And for supply chain companies, a clear answer to one question. What part of the programme do you make better?

Why Rocket-X

Built for boardroom deals on an airfield.

We design and build exhibition stand and activations for Farnborough International Airshow, from bespoke stand design, shell scheme and space only packages to feature builds. We know what Farnborough demands. Five days on a working airfield, with a flying display overhead and a global audience of airline, defence and government leaders. Exhibitors here don’t just need a stand in a hall. They need chalets that host properly, outdoor features that hold their own next to aircraft, and spaces with the polish of a boardroom.

So we build for the level of the conversation, inside and out. In the halls, our own joinery team delivers premium stands with private meeting rooms for confidential discussions. On the flightline, we fit out chalets as hospitality spaces that match the guests you’re hosting. Outdoors, we design features and structures built to stand out in the open and cope with a British July. We also design pavilions for regional and supply chain groups, as we do at UKREiiF. Then we review what worked, so your next Farnborough is even stronger.

We don’t build stands. We build the story your brand tells on the show floor. Every material, layout and lighting choice serves the narrative.

Heat mapping and visitor tracking available on request, plus a post-show review on every project. We prove what worked, not just what looked good.

LITE, READY and CUSTOM. Three clear ways to exhibit, three clear price points. You always know exactly what you’re getting, before you commit.

Your win is our win. We review the results together, and we’re genuinely invested in your next show being even better than the last.

How we work

From brief to build to debrief.

Designed, made and installed by one in-house team in Lincolnshire. You’ll see 3D visuals before anything is built, and one project manager runs your stand from brief to debrief.

Three ways to work with us

Pick your launch pad.

The venue

Exhibiting at Farnborough International.

Farnborough isn’t a standard exhibition centre. It’s a working airfield with five exhibition halls, chalets and outdoor space, and a flying display running through the week. Access, security and timing all need more planning than a city-centre venue, and all of it starts well before build.

Breakdown

It's a working airfield.

Security is tighter than a standard venue, and everyone on site, including your team, needs the right accreditation. Apply for passes early.

Plan for the flying display.

Aircraft overhead are the point of the show, but they’re loud. We can design meeting rooms and quiet zones so important conversations aren’t lost to a flypast.

Hall 1 has two levels.

Hall 1 is the only multi-level hall, with lifts at both entrances. Two-level plots need their own plan for access, loading and visitor flow.

Chalets & outdoor space are different builds.

Chalets and outdoor plots come with their own rules and weather to plan for. We design and fit out each space to suit how it’s used.

Order services early.

Power, internet, water and furniture are ordered through the organiser, and late orders usually cost more. We spec everything for stands, chalets and outdoor space and order it well ahead.

Exhibitors are on site from 06:00.

Doors open to exhibitors early each day.

We handle the logistics: plans, approvals, service orders, build & breakdown. You turn up to a finished stand & leave once the show's over.

Before the show

How to make an impact at Farnborough Airshow.

Five days, 136 countries and some of the biggest contracts in the world. Here’s how to make the most of it, from first plan to next year’s booking.

01.

Start planning early.

Farnborough happens every two years, and the best space and chalets go early. Big builds need longer lead times than a normal show, so start the conversation early.

02.

Design for private conversations.

Not every deal can be discussed in an open aisle. Meeting rooms with proper acoustics and privacy are essential here.

03.

Use the space outside.

Chalets, outdoor plots and static displays reach visitors the halls don’t. Large-scale features and mock-ups bring your technology to life where the aircraft are.

04.

Work the whole week.

Monday to Thursday is for trade and executive meetings. Friday brings the public and the next generation of engineers. Plan your content for both.

05.

Follow up while the order books are open.

Deals are announced during the week, and conversations move fast. Agree next steps on the stand and follow up within days, not weeks.

06.

Rebook before you leave.

Many shows sell next year’s space before this one ends. Rebook, tell us your plot, and we can start on next year’s stand straight away. When we debrief the show, we’ll know what worked this time, so we can make your next stand work harder and give you better return on investment.

The smart way to exhibit

It gets smarter every time you come back.

We build exhibitions to work harder over time. By reusing and refining crafted elements across multiple shows, we reduce waste, retain what works, and make every next build more efficient than the last. Show one makes an impact. Show two builds on it. That’s how exhibiting should work.

Built responsibly

Good for your brand. Good for the PlANeT.

We build with reuse in mind from the start. That means fewer one-use builds, less waste, and exhibition stands designed to work harder over time. We use FSC- and PEFC-certified timber wherever possible and make smarter material choices at every stage. Because sustainability should be built in, not added on.

FAQS

Costs vary by size, specification and complexity. CUSTOM bespoke stands, chalet fit-outs, outdoor features and pavilions are priced to your brief. Tell us what you want to achieve and we’ll show you what’s possible. If you’d rather start from a package, our READY space only stands start from £8,995 and come in different configurations, so you can choose the one that suits your ambition. Our LITE shell scheme stand package starts at £2,995. Venue services like power, internet and rigging are ordered through the venue or organiser, and we include them clearly in your itemised quote, so you know exactly what you’re paying for.
Yes. Every stand Rocket-X builds for Farnborough International Airshow is hired, from LITE and READY packages to CUSTOM builds. The structure is hired and reused on other projects, which keeps your costs down and cuts waste. Anything crafted specifically for your brand is yours to keep, or we can store it and bring it back for your next event.
Yes. Farnborough is where major aerospace and defence contracts are discussed and signed. The stands that work signal scale and credibility, have private meeting rooms for confidential conversations, offer hospitality that matches the guests, and make it clear where your business fits in the programme.
Yes. We fit out chalets as hospitality and meeting spaces, design outdoor features and structures built for an airfield in July, and create pavilions for regional and supply chain groups. Each is planned around the organiser's rules for that space, with premium finishes from our own joinery team.
Earlier than for most shows. Farnborough runs every two years, space goes early, and airfield accreditation adds lead time. For the July 2028 show, that means briefing us by the end of March 2028 at the latest, and earlier for large, multi-level or outdoor builds. You don't need a finished brief to start. Your plot size, rough goals and a budget range are enough for us to tell you what's achievable.
You don't need a finished brief. You need your stand size or plot reference, a rough sense of your goals and a budget range. From those things, we can tell you what's achievable.
