What exhibitors need to know.

Spring Fair is the UK’s biggest home, gift and fashion trade show, held every February at the NEC Birmingham. More than 40,000 retail buyers from 140+ countries walk the halls over four days, sourcing from 1,500+ brands and suppliers and over a million products, with 100+ speakers across five content stages. Glee at Spring Fair brings garden retail buyers into the same halls.

Tickets are free for retail buyers, so the audience ranges from independent gift shops and lifestyle boutiques to garden centres, online retailers and the buying teams from names like John Lewis, Dunelm, TK Maxx and Fortnum & Mason. For many of them, February is the biggest buying trip of the year.

Your stand has to stop a buyer who’s already seen hundreds of brands that day. Both shell scheme and space only plots are available, from small presences to large feature builds. Planning a space only stand? Working with exhibition stand contractors who know the NEC stops being optional.

Why this sector is different

Buyers here aren't discovering products. They're stocking a season.

Spring Fair buyers cover miles of aisles in a day, and they decide fast. Within seconds of reaching your stand they’re asking whether it’s new, whether it will sell in their shop, and whether the margin works. Independent owners are spending their own money, and big-store buyers are filling a range plan. Both are ruthless with their time.

A stand that reads like a beautifully merchandised shop, with your range styled the way it should sit in store. Newness that’s obvious from the aisle. Minimums, margins and lead times that are easy to find. And a seat, because by Tuesday afternoon every buyer in the building wants one.

Why Rocket-X

Built to stop a buyer who's already walked ten miles.

We design and build exhibition stands for Spring Fair, from bespoke stand design to shell scheme and space only packages. We’ve built at Spring Fair before, and we know what this floor needs. Four days, 40,000 buyers and 1,500 brands competing for their attention and their budget. A stand that takes too long to understand, or makes the range look ordinary, gets a glance and nothing more.

So we build stands that merchandise like the best shops. Our own joinery team can build display furniture, shelving and counters to the standard we build real retail interiors, with lighting chosen to make your products look their best. New lines take the spot facing the aisle, and there’s an order desk with seating where buyers can sit down and write the order. Storage is built in for samples and catalogues, with finishes that still look right on day four. Then we review what worked, so next February’s stand sells even better.

We don’t build stands. We build the story your brand tells on the show floor. Every material, layout and lighting choice serves the narrative.

Heat mapping and visitor tracking available on request, plus a post-show review on every project. We prove what worked, not just what looked good.

LITE, READY and CUSTOM. Three clear ways to exhibit, three clear price points. You always know exactly what you’re getting, before you commit.

Your win is our win. We review the results together, and we’re genuinely invested in your next show being even better than the last.

Our work

Exhibition stands we've built at Spring Fair.

How we work

From brief to build to debrief.

Designed, made and installed by one in-house team in Lincolnshire. You’ll see 3D visuals before anything is built, and one project manager runs your stand from brief to debrief.

Three ways to work with us

Pick your launch pad.

The venue

Exhibiting at the NEC Birmingham.

The NEC is the UK’s busiest exhibition venue, and a few of its rules change how your stand should be designed. There’s no storage on site, power and internet are ordered in advance, and anything overhead goes through the venue. We handle the logistics. Here’s what’s worth knowing for your stand and your team.

Light your products properly.

Hall lighting is flat and even. Stand lighting, ordered with your power, makes products look their best across all four days.

No on-site storage, so we can build it in.

There’s nowhere at the NEC to keep stock, literature or your team’s bags. We can build lockable storage into the stand itself, behind a wall or under the counter, so everything stays secure overnight.

Don't rely on the free Wi-Fi.

It’s fine for email, not for anything your stand depends on. We spec and order a dedicated connection for screens, demos, lead capture and card payments.

Order services early.

Power, internet, water and furniture are ordered through the venue and its contractors, and late orders usually cost more. We spec everything with your stand and order it well before the deadlines.

Hanging signs help you be found.

A sign above your stand is the easiest way to be spotted across a busy hall. It’s rigged by the venue and needs ordering early, so we can design it in from the start.

Get your team in early.

Exhibitors can get into the halls before the doors open, so that’s the time to restock and brief the team. Birmingham International station is next to the NEC and on-site parking is charged, so plan your team’s travel in advance.

We handle the logistics: plans, approvals, service orders, build & breakdown. You turn up to a finished stand & leave once the show's over.

Before the show

How to make an impact at Spring Fair.

Four days, 1,500+ brands and buyers who’ve walked past most of them. Here’s how to make the most of it, from first plan to next year’s booking.

01.

Lead with newness.

Buyers come to Spring Fair for what’s new. Put your launches at the front of the stand, facing the aisle, and make it obvious they’re new.

02.

Merchandise like a boutique.

Style your range the way it should sit in store. A buyer who can picture it on their shelves is halfway to ordering it.

03.

Make the numbers easy to find.

Minimums, margins, lead times and show offers. Buyers want the commercial detail without having to ask for it.

04.

Give buyers a seat.

Four days of walking makes a chair and a table valuable. An order desk with seating turns a browse into a proper conversation.

05.

Follow up before the season starts.

Buyers are filling spring and summer ranges. Chase every lead within the week, before their budgets are committed elsewhere.

06.

Rebook before you leave.

Many shows sell next year’s space before this one ends. Rebook, tell us your plot, and we can start on next year’s stand straight away. When we debrief the show, we’ll know what worked this time, so we can make your next stand work harder and give you better return on investment.

The smart way to exhibit

It gets smarter every time you come back.

We build exhibitions to work harder over time. By reusing and refining crafted elements across multiple shows, we reduce waste, retain what works, and make every next build more efficient than the last. Show one makes an impact. Show two builds on it. That’s how exhibiting should work.

Built responsibly

Good for your brand. Good for the PlANeT.

We build with reuse in mind from the start. That means fewer one-use builds, less waste, and exhibition stands designed to work harder over time. We use FSC- and PEFC-certified timber wherever possible and make smarter material choices at every stage. Because sustainability should be built in, not added on.

Yes. Our joinery team builds display furniture, shelving and counters to the standard we build real retail interiors, and we design the lighting to show your products at their best across all four days.
As soon as you've got your space booked. For an early-February show, with Christmas in the way, that means briefing us by the end of October at the latest. 12 to 16 weeks gives time for design, review, revisions and production without rushing any stage. You don't need a finished brief to start. Your plot size, rough goals and a budget range are enough for us to tell you what's achievable.
You don't need a finished brief. You need your stand size or plot reference, a rough sense of your goals and a budget range. From those things, we can tell you what's achievable.
